Mrs Cellophane

Some people have the ability to walk into a room and instantly become the focus of attention. When they speak, people stop and listen; if they’ve had their haircut or bought a new outfit, people notice. I’m not one of those people. My particular skill appears to be the ability to walk into a room full of people and become invisible. When I’m with a group of people engaged in conversation, it often takes me several attempts at saying something before I can make myself heard. The trouble is the more it happens, the harder it is to keep trying.
