Doctor Michael!

It’s been a really tough day for various reasons (my dad being in hospital, Michael’s trip to LA suddenly being brought forward and extended) but fortunately there have been a couple of good moments to make the day a little better. Michael got a letter this afternoon confirming that after seven years he has finally been awarded his PhD and is now Dr George – hooray! It’s been a long slog (we wondered for a while if it was ever going to happen!) but I’m so pleased and proud of him – can’t believe I’m actually now going to marry a doctor!
