Opening night

Opening night seems to have gone reasonably well, considering how bad the dress rehearsal was. Of course there were a few hitches – there always are, particularly when it’s only the second night in the theatre and some of the technical issues are still being straightened out (Wednesday’s dress rehearsal also doubled as the technical rehearsal). The show itself will be fine. What I find a little more concerning is the undercurrent of discontent that I’m starting to sense backstage and a gradual eroding of the feeling of being part of a mutually supportive team. Fingers crossed that this gets better.
