The dangers of house cleaning

It seemed like a good idea to hire a carpet cleaner and clean the carpets properly this afternoon before the bridesmaids descend on my flat at the weekend. Cleaning the stairs proved to be quite a challenge – I thought I had the carpet cleaner securely placed at the top of the stairs and then the next minute it came tumbling down the stairs after me drenching me from head to toe in soapy water (and even worse, the dirty water which was being sucked up from the carpet as I was cleaning). Still at least it didn’t land on me!
