I do the Race for Life every year, which, as with this year, often falls on Sunday at the end of show week. As usual I was running with my friend Lindsay – this year as “Brides on the Run” due to being 2009 brides (September for her). We ran in tutus, veil and “L” plates (“P” plates in my case due to being a newly-wed) and had a bridesmaid in tow – Lindsay’s friend Kirsty joined us. We took the 5km race at a leisurely pace (finish time 58:32) and have raised £530 for cancer research so far which is great.

Brides on the run
