Appreciating the beauty of spring

I went for a walk along the stream near my parents’ house earlier today and watched the butterflies darting about amongst the blossom and daffodils; the trees were full of birds and it was just so beautiful. Driving back home, I decided to take the scenic route away from the motorways and although it took an hour longer than usual, it was worth it to feel like I could take life at a slower pace for once and admire the world around me. Whilst the slower pace may well be achievable on the M25, there is very little to admire!
