At Junior Church today, we carried out a Dragon’s Den style exercise where the children were the disciples asking for funding to spread the word worldwide (based solely on what the disciples knew at the time covered in Acts 1:6-14) and I was the dragon. I was amused by the flip-chart they presented – particularly their costings which ended “Love – priceless (for everything else there’s Jesuscard) although it makes you realise the subliminal power of advertising. Funding was ultimately refused (because the disciples knew so little) but the spirited discussion it generated made settling the group for prayer afterwards somewhat difficult!
